Technology can be terrifying for a parent.
In this post you’ll learn how to monitor your child’s text messages without them knowing.
As a parent myself, I completely sympathize. Kids rarely understand the dangers of smartphones and the amount of data they contain.
Let’s take a look at monitoring solutions for the two most popular types of phones.

Secretly Monitor Your Child’s iPhone Text Messages
Monitoring your child’s text messages on an iPhone is very easy.
While Apple makes a big deal out of how secure their phones are, it’s not difficult to see everything someone is doing on their iPhone.
The only thing you need to get started is a phone monitoring app. While there are dozens of these apps out there, my personal favorite is uMobix. The uMobix app allows you to get text messages from any smartphone sent to yours.
iPhone App Installation
Once you purchase the app you will need your child’s iCloud login ID and password. The login ID is usually their email address.
If 2-factor authentication is enabled on the phone you will also need a code to authorize access. This code will be sent to the phone.
Even if you can’t unlock their phone, you can still see the code when it arrives on the phone.
Once this is done all of the information from your child’s phone will be uploaded to a web-based control panel for you to view.
Secretly Monitor Your Child’s Text Messages on Android
You can also monitor your kid’s text messages if they use an Android phone.
Android phones are more difficult to monitor because there is no way to access their information in the cloud.
Surveillance apps must be installed directly on Android devices. This requires physical access to your child’s phone as well as the passcode to unlock it.
uMobix is by far the best solution for Androids as it does NOT require rooting the phone. You will also get full access to your child’s social media accounts like Facebook, Messenger, Instagram, and Snapchat.
Android App Installation
Installing a monitoring app on an Android device is quite easy. Once you’ve purchased your monitoring software of choice simply follow the detailed instructions to get it working.
You will need a few minutes of physical access to their device and the passcode to unlock it.
Once the phone is unlocked you will need to download the app onto the device.
Then you will need to follow vendor-specific steps to install the app and configure the security settings of the phone.
These security settings need to be changed so that the phone doesn’t identify the surveillance app as malware and delete it.
Should You Read Your Child’s Text Messages?
It’s up to you if you want to let your child know that you will be monitoring their text messages. Some parents decide to tell their children because they want to respect their child’s right to privacy. Others feel it’s better if their children don’t know.
People use monitoring apps to spy on their partner’s text messages. At least there is good reason to monitor your child’s communication.
Either way monitoring software like uMobix is a convenient way for you to ensure your child’s safety online.
